Chapter 3 Homework
1. Identify a topic you're interested in studying and do a literature search using PsychInfo. You will need to enter a descriptor/keyword relevant to your topic. See the "Seven Easy Steps to a Research Proposal" for guidance. Also use the Library Psychology Web Site to learn how to use PsychInfo and PsychArticles to conduct a literature search.
2. Don't worry now about "quality" of abstracts that you find. Just avoid books and Disseration Abstracts references. This is just your first shot at doing a literature search. But do save any abstracts that look interesting/promising on your hard drive. Even better, if you can find a "full text" article (rather than merely an abstract), save those.
3. .Select one of these abstracts or full text articles to submit for your homework. To do this, go to the "Homework" Discussion Topic, then click the "Ch 3 HW" topic, and select "Reply" to this message, then copy-and-paste your abstract into the Message Body, then click "Submit."
4. NOTE: To access PsychInfo and PsychArticles from off campus, you will need to go the VU Christopher Center Library site: http://www.valpo.edu/library/subj/psych.html
